Principle Environmental, LLC. was founded in Fort Worth, Texas during the Barnett Shale natural gas drilling boom. At its peak in October of 2008 the Barnett Shale had 227 drilling rigs operating. The Barnett Shale offered a very unique opportunity in that it was the first natural gas play that utilized urban gas drilling. This encroachment into densely populated areas created a significant concern regarding the noise impact to the existing environment.

The noise consultants at Principle measure, monitor, model, and design solutions for today's Oil & Gas industry noise control needs. Principle's environmental noise consultants focus on measurement, control, and isolation of environmental noise related to drilling, fracing, production equipment, and compression facilities. Our industrial noise consultants focus on measurement, mitigation, and isolation of noise, generally related to urban gas drilling and production.

We use sophisticated noise measurement systems to assess the current impact of noise. For pre-construction scenarios or when actual site conditions cannot yet be measured, our noise consultants use predictive modeling software to evaluate expected noise levels. We then recommend solutions for determining expected noise levels and for isolating or mitigating unwanted noise.

Principle's noise consultants are also recognized experts in matters involving oil & gas exploration and production, noise control and measurement, testifying in courts of law and presenting findings and analysis at board meetings and public hearings.
